A man by the name of Christopher Hitchens – perhaps you’ve heard of him – will be debating at UW this Saturday*
*He’ll actually be appearing via video conferencing due to health reasons. Tickets are sold out but a couple of us are planning on note taking so we’ll be sure to share what we hear at the talk. I haven’t heard word about whether or not it’s being recorded.

They’re broadcasting into an overflow room, too. Tickets are still availible. This is the information I recieved from the organizers:
The event organizers have arranged to use videoconferencing technology
to bring Mr. Hitchens into the Hagey Hall Theatre. We are deeply
grateful to Mr. Hitchens for his ongoing commitment to our event,
particularly in the circumstances… you may also be interested to learn that we have arranged for an overflow site, the Theatre of the Arts, where the audience can watch the event onscreen. Tickets are $10 each and are available from the Humanities Theatre box office on a first come, first serve basis until they too are sold out.
